Warning: A manure auger is a single component of a manure system. Guards and barriers may be required to guard the components and the entire system.

Caution: A manure auger is recommended for use with manure varieties that struggle to be moved up an ordinary barn cleaner chute. Heavily bedded manure, frozen manure or pen manure are problems for augers and are not recommended as a solution in these applications. Chopped bedding and gutter grates are recommended. Using an auger to empty pits with a few or several days of manure is not the most efficient practice. We strongly recommend against it.
